5 pm Sunday Masses and Campus Ministry dinners have resumed, as well as the 9 pm student Mass on Wednesday and Friday lunches from 11:30-1:30. Welcome back!
Football Game Day Vigil Mass will be at 4 pm. Please remember there is no parking available at St. John except for our football parking patrons.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) will begin meeting Wednesdays at 7 pm in the St. John parish hall beginning September 8. Do you know someone who would like to learn more about the Catholic faith or might have an interest in becoming Catholic? Invite them to RCIA!
First Friday Eucharistic Adoration begins following the 5:10 Mass this Thursday and ends at 7 pm on Friday. Stop by to spend some time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. There will not be a 9 am First Saturday Mass at St. John, but there will be a 9 am Mass at St. Francis.
Prayer Shawl Ministry is going to begin meeting on Tuesdays at 1:15 pm in the St. John classroom. Those interested in knitting and crocheting are welcome to attend. For the shawls, please bring 550 yds. of your choice of yarn, size 11-13 knitting needles or size M, N, or P crochet hooks. A pattern will be provided.
Baptism Class will be Tuesday, September 14th, in the classroom at 7pm. Please call the parish office at 405-372-6408 to register.
Parish Council will meet at 7 pm on Tuesday, September 14.

Mike Matousek and Dale Maronek chat with seminarian Mike Pratt at the Sunday luncheon reception. Mike will be returning to Rome at the end of this month, preparing for his diaconate ordination in St. Peter’s Basilica on October 7. The priesthood ordination will take place at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa on July 9, 2011.
